Pain of the Macho was based on the monologue from a Latinologues
play byRick Najera, which was also on Broadway in Latinologues
directed by Cheech Marin. It was adopted for a screen in a short
film form by Matias Stevens and Lav Bodnaruk and shot by a skeleton
crew due to the fact that some of the locations
were rather 'tight'. Here is a list of those involved in making this
short film:
Born and raised in Europe, Lav worked hard to combine the two worlds of
cinema through his studies at the film school collage (Griffith University) in
Brisbane Australia, developing a strong and unique style of film making. As a
graduate he started a production company, Lav Productions, which enabled
him to bring a number of projects to the screen, producing/directing dozen short
films (16mm and 35mm) most of which he had also shot. Through his company Lav has also produced and
shot a number of TVCs currently on air around Australia.
